Ryukyushi, the culture of paper specific to the Islands of Okinawa.
A paper made by hand of the plants that grow wild on Okinawa creating an internationally very unique material thanks to the climatic and historical circumstances of the islands.

Today, there are only a few craftsmen who inherited this craft and still practice it.
TSUTO modernizes this culture that originated and flourished on the Ryukyu Islands in accordance with contemporary lifestyle and in doing so preserves it for the next generation.

TSUTO means wrapped object, the souvenir from a place.

Ryukyushi is the original paper craft that has been practiced in Okinawa for around 300 years.
This method of making paper spread through the islands of the Ryukyu kingdom originating from the capital Shuri.
As a material, it is an internationally very unique paper because of the particular climate and geographical conditions of Okinawa.
